Mrs. Livesey Leaders
Hi! I'm Mrs. Livesey and will be your child's 1st grade teacher for the 2017-2018 school year.
I was born in Germany, on August 19th but grew up in Florida. Growing up, I had a household full of pets from wolf hybrids, to different types of cats, rabbits and even a skunk! I love animals, and wanted to be a veterinarian as a young child but when I entered Middle School, I noticed that I had a natural ability working with children. Before graduating from high school, I decided that my life path would be in education instead of working with animals.
I started my path to work in education at Valencia Community College for my Associates and then received my Bachelors of Associates at UCF in Early Childhood Development. During this time, I had two babies, Mason and Madison and worked full time. I worked at different preschools for 10 years, teaching V.P.K for the majority of the time and 3 year olds for about a year.
I graduated from UCF August of 2014 and began working at Sawgrass Bay Elementary as a First Grade Teacher. This is my 3rd year as a first grade teacher and at Sawgrass. I love being a part of an environment that truly cares about each student and ensuring that they are successful Leaders in their education and community.
I strive in building a good relationship between students and their families. These positive relationships that are made between the teacher and parents help the student to accomplish more in school.
